Evaluation
This is the evaluation of the preliminary task.
The positioning of the interviewee's body was incorrect and they kept moving so this meant that the audiences eyeline kept changing. The rule of thrirds was used incorrectly and the camera was not steady. Also the shot type was incorrect and there were jump cuts due to lack of cutaway shots. The ending of the documentary cut too quickly and needed to fade. The mise - en - scene and the music did not link to the topic and the music was too loud in parts. The questions were not always clear and the order of the answers did not make sense. Overall, the documentary could be improved by following the rule of thirds method more closely, choosing a different location to film that links to the topic, keeping the interviewee and camera from moving, having proper cutaways to avoid jump cuts and using appropriate shot types.
